From the Seed planters…

Here at CBH Ministries we plant seeds—lots of them—every single day. Rarely do we see who waters the seeds but we know that God gives the increase. We’re planting the seeds of God’s grace, hope, and love in the hearts of children. Every time they read a story and a verse from Keys for Kids, a seed gets planted. Every single episode of Down Gilead Lane plants another seed. Through the classic programs, the CBH website connection…yes, other seeds are planted!

For 68 years we’ve labored in Christ’s name to reach children around the world. Only God knows how many children have been saved, and how many have memorized Bible verses and still hold that Scripture in their hearts. He also knows how many children listen to our radio programs and grow in their faith. Some day we may reap this information, but for now we need to keep planting seeds.

Quite an investment of time and money goes into planting those little Gospel seeds. For instance, in the print department, Keys for Kids and Seasons of Faith books need to be created, edited, printed, and distributed. Advertising space needs to be reserved and marketing strategies planned. The cost of getting materials mailed to you and others is great Some days we even wait for the mailman to arrive with donations to cover the postage costs.

This time of year is tough on all ministries—and it’s no exception here at CBH. Because of our ongoing outreach programs and products, we also have ongoing invoices. If you are able, would you be willing to provide over and above what you’ve been giving to help us meet the need? The wages of children cannot support this ministry but the ministry is for them. So, who supports us? Parents, grandparents, and churches trust us to produce materials that honor God and help children become more Christ-like. Please consider helping us this month. • You’ll find a brand new set of Down Gilead Lane specials called “It’s a Trip!” listed on our sales sheet. This CD set contains TWO bonus episodes. That’s a total of six great DGL specials to listen to during your vacation trips this summer. All six episodes are only $10.00!
  
  
• Also, if you give a donation of $50.00 or more you’ll receive our spring Seasons of Faith book called Race With Midnight for FREE. This children’s illustrated book includes a CD with Uncle Charlie narrating the story! This offer expires Sunday, June 20.
  
  
• Watch for our next two books of the Seasons of Faith series available in June. The titles are The King’s Daughter and The Red Boat. These books will be a wonderful addition to your home, school, or church library.
  
  
• In early April we will open a brand new section of our website. Camp Be-Yon-Key will become an interactive site! Kids create their own visual character to do interactive Bible studies—they’ll earn points to play games and help outfit their cabin. Your children will be in a safe environment with no banner ads or areas that take them away from the website.

All during the year we are planning The Next Thing for CBH Ministries. It will be Internet based and will have a wide variety of multimedia aspects. We can’t give you any details yet but ask that you pray for us while we’re planning. God will put us on a path that leads to the best plan ever!

As God allows, we pray you will become an active seed nurturer using all we have to offer here at CBH Ministries. Like developing seeds, children are seeking the Son and we want to be there to help them grow in faith. Plus, we want to reach out to unsaved children and tweens, too. It’s a multi-faceted job and we couldn’t do it without you. Please continue to pray for our staff and for the work being accomplished here.
